  1. Hi

I would like to use it on a sailing tour from Kirkenes via Trondheim to Heiligenhafen in Germany. Therefore following questions: how far offshore do I receive Internet with my Android tablet and which Norwegian provider is the best on the west coast.

Also I would like to work with OpenSeaMap on a laptop, do you have a catalogue for downloading Normegian charts?

    Many thanks in advance

    1. Hi

We have no exact knowledge of how far from the coast you will receive internet. And it will differ a lot. But I think you can assume that it will not be very far. We do not know which provider is the best as this will also change along the coast.

You can find information about the maps from the Norwegian Mapping Authorities here:
      http://www.kartverket.no/kart/gratis-kartdata/wms-tjenester/
      and
      http://status.kartverket.no/tjenester/openwms.py (look for sjo_hovedkart2)

  2. I just bought a Google play card to upgrade the version and support you but it’s not eligible, maybe because you are not in the same country as me, do you know how I still could pay for it?

  3. The app has become great! There is one more feature I would like to see. It would be great if you could add some geological maps as possible layers, such as NGUs berggrunnsgeologiske kart.

  4. Hello,
I’m French, i’m using the free version of Norgeskart.
I did 3 tracks in lofoten last week, now i’m back in France, and I would like to export them.
The tracks appears on the appli on my mobile, but I can’t find the files in my mobile, or export them on my mail by example ..
    How should i do ? Thanks !
    Best Regards
    Antoine

    1. Hi

You can open “My data” from the left panel in the app. In “My data” you can go to the tracks list. In the tracks list you can export each individual track to files using the … menu. The files are by default stored to the internal sd-card in the Norgeskart directory. You should see the exact location when you export the track to file.

Once exported to file you can send it to yourself by e-mail using a file-explorer like ES file explorer or similar.

    1. Hi

You can export the tracks as GPX from the My data lists in the app. If you have a Pro version, you can also export them from the tables in the map portal norgeskart.avinet.no. But the time and heights are not exported if you do it from the portal as of today.

      Best regards
      Håvard
